Hooray, Congratulations, and Welcome!

Hooray and Thank You!

I’m delighted that The Clothes Make The Girl was named “Best Healthy Cooking Blog” in TheKitchn.com‘s 2012 Homies awards. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me! I appreciate the support, and I love that the diet we know is healthy now carries a somewhat official title.

Congratulations!

You know what makes this even sweeter? My sister-foodie Nom Nom Paleo dominated the “Best Food Photography on a Blog” category. Her food photos are drool-worthy, and I’m thrilled that her work will be introducing people to what we already know: paleo food is as yummy for the eyes as it is for the stomach. And a hearty “Woot!” to the winners in the other categories — Munchin with Munchkin for “Best Recipe Blog,” Bower Power for “Best Home Design,” The Rockstar Diaries for “Best Family Blog,” and A Beautiful Mess for “Best DIY Blog.”

Welcome!

If you’re visiting for the first time, I’m glad you stopped by! I hope you’ve been inspired to at least consider the notion of trying the paleo way of eating. It will change your life for the better and in ways you can’t predict. Let me show you around a little bit…

Paleo, Recipes & My Cookbook
If you’re curious about what paleo is all about, visit my Paleo 101 page for the “No” list, the “Yes” list, and a slew of helpful resources.

This is an index of all the paleo recipes on my site – or you can browse the recipes with photos and excerpts, too.

I recently released a cookbook! Well Fed: Paleo Recipes For People Who Love To Eat is a handbook for getting started with paleo eating and inclues more than 115 recipes – all with full-page photos and lots of fun stories about my favorite foods.

    Congratulations!

I recently found your blog and am interested in buying your book. Has the book binding issue been fixed, or do I need to wait a little bit longer before buying until the problem is fixed? Thank you, and great blog!

    • Hope says:

I’ve had the book since it first came out and use it CONSTANTLY and have had NO problem whatsoever with the binding…

(Just a thought: when I’ve had books that had binding problems in the past, and they were important to me, I’ve taken them to Kinko’s and had them punched and had a spiral binding inserted… It was pretty cheap as I remember …)

  • Sara says:

Yay! I was so excited to see your blog as the winner–congrats!!

  • Tiffany says:

You deserve it. With out your blog I probably would of given up trying to go paleo. Love the book too.

  • Janet says:

I read this blog and nom nom paleo EVERY SINGLE DAY! I am beyond excited that you both won!!! When I discovered Paleo a few months ago, I was feeling lost and frustrated with my gluten intolerance and my daily stomach ache. I started on Paleo December 19, 2011 and have decided to “Paleo the World!” I tell everyone I know, meet, etc. about it! It’s not just a diet to me and I’m so glad I found it! I find that the many blogs out there (esp. yours and nom nom paleo) help me discover different foods that I’ve never thought of cooking. I even won your book from a contest on paleoplan.com, and I love the Scotch Eggs which I refer to as “dinosaur eggs”! Thanks and Congrats!!!!!

  • Margaret says:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You deserve it and more. You’re doing a great job and I think your culinary skills are on the level of Julia Child. <3 <3<3

  • Mel says:

You guys are the best. Truly. Thank you!

And Margarat, being compared to Julia Child is the loveliest. She was one of a kind.
