    If I win this book, I plan to give it to a friend who definitely needs to write a food blog. I like the words simmer and sauté. Ooh, and whisk and whip! Flambé is also rather nice. Sorry, I know that is more than my allotment. I dislike foam. Ew.

    My favorite food word is herbaceous, always means tasty foods incoming. My least favorite word, gritty. Pretty much means I’m not going to like it, but I will always try it anyway!

    Fav word: whip because it makes me feel like dancing and listening to “whip it” on repeat while cooking. This is never a bad thing 🙂

    Least fav word: debone because I hate deboning. The word sounds like the feeling of deboning.

    Least favorite word : Moist, reminds me of sweating or humidity not food.

  • Favorite – Homemade, but only when it’s actually homemade. It’s not even the word itself, but the importance of making food at home that makes it.

    this is a hard answer for me. I’ve never really thought about it. But I would love to start a blog so maybe I should start thinking of these things? I guess I’ve always loved the word “dollop” and hated the word “moist”, but who doesn’t?

    The word I hate the most is decadent. The dictionary defines it as “marked by decay or decline” AND “extremely pleasing.” WHAT THE HELL, ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

    The word I enjoy the most is sauté, because that usually means dinner will be done quickly.

    Fav word ever is ‘pamplemousse’. Yup it means grapefruit, but there’s a back story! When I was about 16 years old, a friend and I decided that we would speak Fran-glais (combination of French and Enligh) all summer long. And our word to express things that were the epitome of cool was ‘pamplemousse’.

    On a less whimsical side ceviche – gives me the wiggins.

    I don’t really have a least favorite word, but some that make me kinda nervous are chop, dice, mince… Although I’ve gotten advice and some new knives, those words still make me a little concerned. Most dishes, I’ve found, are pretty forgiving though.

    I know it’s too late, but couldn’t resist answering anyway. Least favorite is boiled, sounds so washed out and blah. Favorite is roasted…kinda like crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside, ohhh flavorful!

  • My least favorite word is “Paleo” (when it is attached to processed food). This new marketing trend is making me crazy. If it is not real food, it is not paleo!

    My favorite is “Delicious”.
