My “Good Morning” Quarterly Box

quarterly

It’s officially the last call for my November Quarterly box! There are less than 50 boxes left and Wednesday is the deadline to subscribe. Don’t miss out on this one! The theme is “Good Morning,” and I carefully selected a mix of objects and edibles I think will make your mornings a little more kickass. Here’s a sneak preview…

Plus, once again, Dave and I collaborated on a letter and recipes. The pages we made for you are super cute, and the recipes are very tasty. The letter includes the line, “It’s like gun powder, only edible.” and this image. How can you deny yourself these goodies?!

Head on over here to subscribe. (And if you need more convincing, here’s the scoop on my first Quarterly box.)

About Quarterly

Every three months, the Quarterly curators — like Nina Garcia, Andrew Zimmern, Timothy Ferriss, and me (!) — put together a box of goodies and send it to their subscribers. It’s like a quarterly magazine only better because it’s stuff to do — and in my case: eat — in addition to stuff to read. “It’s like a magazine,” says a Quarterly rep, “but instead of receiving words on a page, our subscribers receive actual items that tell a compelling story crafted by the curator.”

My Quarterly Box

I’m pretty excited about the idea of being your personal paleo/primal shopper! So what will I put in my Quarterly boxes? The stuff I love: handy, cute kitchen gadgets… delicious new paleo and primal products… books that inspire and inform… decorative doodads… and one-of-a-kind surprises, because custom stuff is the best. Imagine I could turn my blog into a box of gifts, and you’ll be on the right track. Learn more and sign up here!

Yay! I loved the first box – that knife, it’s brilliant! Excited to see what’s next.

  • Gwenda says:

I would love to… but I don’t think you’re going to ship it to New Zealand!

  • EmayPA says:

Woot! Can’t wait, Mel! I am so not a morning person – this is perfect!

With the last box, you who got me to eat anchovies for the first time! (I just bought more. oh my.) Which then led to… sardines! yum. Where will it end?

Fishy-looking fishies in a can* are no longer scary, and even better, are tasty!

*as opposed to canned tuna, which doesn’t look like a fishie at all.

When will your 3rd box ship? (Only half joking – this subscription is fabulous.)

Melissa, I found your blog 2 months ago and have since bought Well Fed and WF2, and love love *love* every recipe I’ve made! I started my Whole30/Paleo journey due to stomach issues and was worried that I wouldn’t be able to eat anything fun anymore… but since discovering you, I have actually been more motivated and inspired in the kitchen!! And, what prompted me to post was subscribing to your Quarterly box- thank you in advance for whatever goodies are coming my way, and thank you so so much (or thank Quarterly) for shipping to APO/FPO boxes- I live on a US Navy base in Spain and it’s sometimes hard to find things I can eat/use in my cooking from the States, so this was the icing on the cake for me (or… that chunk of juicy pineapple in the pina colada chicken- my favorite!!)! So thank you for everything you do, and continue being awesome!!! 😀

    • This made my day! Thanks so much for buying our cookbooks and subscribing to Quarterly! I’m really happy you like the recipes — congratulations on tackling the Whole30! Sending foodie hugs from across the pond!

  • Amy in Austin says:

Haven’t found the anchovies at Central Market or HEB yet, but my HEB just got the Pacific Bone Broth in the soup aisle – four flavors! I’m looking forward to using the knife in my cooking duties as I host my first Thanksgiving, too.

Sooo excited for the next box!

  • Tianna says:

$20 for shipping to Canada….I’m so sad. Why must everything cost so much to ship here? 🙁

  • Sarah B says:

So excited about my November Quarterly box. I wonder when it will come…. almost the end of November now. I feel like a kid waiting waiting….waiting! 🙂

  • Viki Breeland says:

Mel, the best part about the first quarterly (and I think will continue in all future boxes) is the introduction to products we might not try on our own, i.e., India Food’s ghee, coconut butter, etc. I liked them all and the thanks goes to you!

  • Jade says:

Have the boxes been shipped? I haven’t gotten it yet … afraid it got lost in the mail.

    • I don’t think they have shipped yet. You should get an email notification from Quarterly when they charge your card and ship it.

Yippeee!!!! Just picked up the quarterly box at the post office. It felt like Christmas morning came early. The first thing I noticed was the egg holder. So cute. My first thought was that is sooo Melissa. Then I saw the mug, which is definitely you. It really is an awesome kick ass mug. Cant’t wait for breaky tomorrow and especially to try the “gun powder” on my eggs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to come up with these boxes. Keep up the good work.

Happy holidays and all the best in the New Year!!!!

        • You’re so awesome to let me know you like the Quarterly box… thank you! Did you try the gun powder salt yet?!

Happy holidays to you! Thanks for letting me be a little part of your healthy life.

          • Lisa says:

            Good morning!
Yes I just tried the salt on my eggs this morning and enjoyed it. It will be a neat addition to certain dishes and a little goes a long way.
