Take a Walk

My fitbit and I have been trying to get 10,000 steps (average) every day. Maybe you want to go for a walk, too!

You just can’t deny the brain scan. That’s pretty awesome!

I love my Fitbit! And 10,000 steps daily is also part of my whole30 (so far, about 85%, but the days I don’t hit the steps are usually the ones I’ve gone jogging instead of walking).

Also, if you’re like me and get bored ‘just’ walking, try the Zombies, Run! app, or The Walk – I like them because they tell you a story while you’re walking, and the ZR one intersperses it with your music. ZR is (obviously) post zombie apocalypse, and The Walk is sort of a spy story. Anything to keep me moving 🙂

  • I LOVE Zombies, Run! So much fun — especially the zombie chases. YAY! And I feel ya! I get so frustrated when I go running and my Fitbit count is short. BOO!

    Cool. I love my fitbit.

however when I jog, mine goes off the charts – those are my super duper good days!!!

So great! I’m in my 20s and a lot of my friends think you can only benefit from strenuous or long bouts of exercise. Walking is awesome, too!

  • Walking is fantastic. Once I get a rhythm I could go Forever.

Yay Fitbit! My workplace currently has an “on the move” challenge, which actually gets you free $$ based on your average steps per day over 8 weeks of recording… BUT I have been using walking as a supplement to my Oly-lifting. I try to walk around Green Lake in Seattle on the days I don’t go lift, so it’s an extra 2.8 miles tacked on with a nice bonus scenery + people watching! 🙂
