I almost thought it was another one of those Dove commercials at first… 🙂
An interesting conclusion from the women, that once they’d been transformed by others they felt there wasn’t much true character left!
I wish they would have spent more than 2 split seconds showing the before and after photos.
I totally get it. I recently had some photos taken by a professional for my ‘after’ shots (recent weight loss). I liked the pictures she showed me that day (good lighting, good clothing, etc) but when she sent me the re-touched ones a few days later, I sent them back and asked for the untouched photos instead. Her retoucher had removed ALL my imperfections and I looked so fake that I hated it. It really, really made me appreciate myself for who I am! That was NOT what I expected to feel from that experience at all, but I’m so thankful for having had it.
This is WONDERFUL. Sharing. Thank you.
Echoes a quote that I recently saw:
“The reason we struggle with our insecurities is because we compare out behind-the-scenes with everyone elses highlight reels.” – Steve Furtick
Love that!
Shared this with my 13 year old daughter. I always want her to just be “her best self”. Thanks for posting, Mel.
This brought me to tears, thanks for sharing!
Lovely.
What a wonderful video! I will be sharing with my baby sister who recently turned 18 years old on Wednesday. Thank you for sharing it with all of us, Melissa!
