WF2: Stupid Easy Paleo Review

WF2_oct22I’m not exaggerating when I say that Dave, Smudge, and I are giddy — Giddy! — that the official  release of Well Fed 2: More Paleo Recipes For People Who Love To Eat is imminent. I found myself in the totally blessed position of having lots of my favorite writers and bloggers ready to review our new book.

As the reviews roll in, I’m going to share them with you, along with a little somethin’-somethin’ about the blogs and bloggers themselves so you can add more kickass resources to your smarty-pants arsenal.

Please support the people who are supporting me by visiting their sites and reading what they have to say — and thank you for being part of our Well Fed 2 celebration!

Stupid Easy Paleo

What It Is: Stupid Easy Paleo is a recipe blog with a lot of heart and it delivers on the promise of its title. The site serves up a solid overview of paleo and is updated frequently with easy-to-make, flavorful recipes. Don’t miss her virtual cooking classes!

Who’s Behind It: Stupid Easy Paleo is written by Steph, a kickass athlete and kitchen wizard. Love her descriptions of herself: “I’m a teacher and science nerd, and I love to lift heavy things up (and put them back down again).”

My Fave Quote From The Review: “Back in 2011, when Paleo-land was still like the wild, wild west, I bought my first “dino chow” specific cookbook: Well Fed. It was – and still is – the most used book of cookery in my kitchen, splatters on the pages and all. Mel’s recipes won me over, and to this day I still profess to being her #1 fangirl. [Personally, I’d like to dress up at the Paleo Charlie’s Angels with her and Michelle (Nom Nom Paleo) for Halloween.]” (NOTE from Mel: I am 100% into that idea. Let’s do it!)

Awesome Video: Prior to this video, Steph had never eaten chicken livers. She made my Crispy Chicken Livers recipe and tried the tasty little morsels for the first time, on camera! That. is. brave. Take a look:

Is it too early to ask when Well Fed III will come out? 😉

    • Mel says:

HA! We’ve been talking about it for a while, so we know what the title and subject will be 🙂

Probably won’t be out for 2 years or so… but I’m glad you’re thinking about it!

  • Its lookin’ good Mel. I really can’t wait to see it!! I’m looking forward to those gyros and those plantain chips. 🙂

  • Martine says:

    Hi Mel,

Your book looks gorgeous! I’m planning to buy it soon, but it’s not yet available in Canada, so I will have to be patient a while yet. I always struggle with deciding whether to buy the hard copy or electronic version. I love the convenience of having the ebook format which allows me to read it on my devices and always have the list of ingredients on hand for impromptu visit to the store . However I find the paper version will be what inspires me to cook the recipes. The ideal is to have both! So I perked right up when I saw that you are offering the PDF version for 1$ if people also buy the paper copy. However I did not see any instructions on how to proceed with this. Any thoughts?

    • Mel says:

Thanks for your enthusiasm for Well Fed 2!

We’re handling the print book/$1 PDF just like last time… in the back of the print book, there’s a code to download the PDF for $1.
