REST DAY

The skinny
I’ve had a lousy attitude for about a week now. I had a terrible weigh-in this weekend. I didn’t workout at all. I didn’t eat enough, and when I did, I had too much fruit. And do I even dare mention that I drank a bunch of champagne? I was like a whole different person on Friday. What’s happening?!

I’m feeling very discouraged. And… I’m going to Louisville, KY, for my pizza client for 1/5 days, which amounts to 4 meals and roughly 3 snacks. Thursday I’ll be with the client all day, and pizza will definitely be on the menu for lunch. Then at what would be dinner time, it’s a mad rush to the airport to come home. I have a snack and meal strategy in place, but this is just one more thing that has me on the bullet train to cranky town.

I’m struggling, y’all. Good heavens to Betsy Ross, I’m glad you guys are here to listen to the whining.

I always say; if pizza is unavoidable, eat pizza! 😉 Enjoy it (not too much of it of course) and then get right back to eating clean.

Besides, you're gonna kick ass Saturday with or without a slice or two… try and enjoy the journey as much as the destination. I know you can do it!

Oh, so sorry you are having an off week. I've been super sick since Wednesday and my eating has gone all kinds of haywire…thus my post on how to stop overeating…cuz that's all I can think about when I'm couch bound. I'm sending love your way…you have so much strength & I have faith you will return to happy land and forget all about this weeks struggles. Hang in their girl!!

You've been powering through workouts and fine tuning your eating habits so well! I'm confident that you can bounce back quickly from a pizza treat meal. 🙂

    Stay strong, Mel! <3

    It's okay Melicious!
What's going to get you focused? do you measure yourself? are your clothes getting bigger?
The scale can be a tricky bitch.
LOVE eating a little pizza. If I fully embrace a cheat meal, a planned one, I have more ambition to get back on the vegetable train the next day.
    Good luck on your trip.

Thank you, everyone, for your encouraging words.

About that "treat" pizza. Um, blech. If you knew the client, you would see it as the FAIL that it is. I do NOT want to eat their garbage pizza. And I abhor the idea of eating a "treat" food at a business meeting. BOO!

If I'm going to tear into pizza, I want it to be with good friends, on a happy occasion. Eating with a client? Blech.

But I hear the heart of what y'all are saying, and I promise to go easy on myself.

    Promise.
