Dear Legs: I’m Sorry

My quads are toast. (Mmmmm… toast.) Yesterday: 72 weighted squats plus sprints. Today: 200 air squats, box jumps, walking lunges, and running laps around the parking lot.

Crystal was under-the-weather, so she gave us our assignment for the day and left us to our own devices. Blake elected me the boss, so I lead the warmup and tried to be motivating. I definitely don’t have the Crystal magic, but I’m proud to say our Bootcamp class – all 12 of us – rose to the occasion.

“We Love You Crystal” Bootcamp Workout
3 rounds:

  • 50 squats
  • 25 box jumps
  • 1 lap around the parking lot (300m?)


  • Indian run to UTB area (400m?)
  • 50 pushups
  • run back
  • walking lunges up snake path (100 lunges)

And now we’ve earned our cocktails in Vegas. In another confluence of vacation-ness, we’re both going to be in Vegas at the same time. We’ve planned a late-night caper for Friday night, so if you feel a shift in the universe at, like, 1:00 a.m. on Friday night/Saturday morning, you know why.

    Woo hoo! Vegas, here we come. I'm definitely feeling like treating myself because not only did we complete this bear of a workout, but then I came home and built my very own raised veggie bed! It's my first time wielding the power drill by myself so I'm feeling a little proud 🙂 Can't wait for Friday night!

    mel, dont mean to be a stickler for details, but the I Love Crystal workout was actually 4 rounds!! yea, that was hard. Enjoy Vegas, you deserve it!
