Missed Connections

Come on. Admit it! You know you’ve lingered over those Shot in the Dark ads in the back of the Austin Chronicle and either a) mocked the poor souls searching – probably in vain – for their missed love connections; or b) imagined the romantic comedy that could ensue if two love-lorn hearts finally find each other.

Brooklyn artist Sophie Blackall has created sweet illustrations of some of the ads she’s seen on Missed Connections web sites. Her pastel-colored images – depictions of loneliness and hope – will tug on your heartstrings.
