Our New Project: Strong Sense of Place
My new project is taking all of my attention right now, and I'd love for you to join me for new adventures! It's called Strong...
Read MoreI indulged myself this morning and took an unscheduled rest day, so I don’t have any training adventures to share. It was just one of those days… I actually got up and put on my workout clothes, on schedule, even though I wasn’t really feelin’ it. I set up my pullup band and started the warmup. But when I got to, like, squat number 7 of 10, my knee started pinching. I decided to take the day off and walked over to take down the pullup band. “Gah! I should just do it,” I thought. Meandered back to the little patch of sidewalk I use for my warmup and dropped into pushup position: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6… my right shoulder started pinching.
“F*ck this!”
I put away my toys, took a shower, made a yummy breakfast (broccoli + spinach + egg + egg white / 1% milk + blueberries / almonds), and never looked back.
So, no tales of sweating… but I do have something else important to share:
I just had these salmon burgers for lunch, and they’re yummy. Plus, fast to prepare. Plus, super Zone-friendly. Plus, salmon is a great source of omega-3 fatty acid. You should eat these!
Check out the nutrition info below; I had 1 1/4 patties to make 3 blocks of protein for lunch (2.5 WW points), and the remaining 3/4 will be perfect for a 2-block snack. Yay, nutrition math!
According to the SeaPak web site, you can get these salmon burgers locally at Randalls and Walmart. If you’re not lucky enough to be an Austinite, use this Product Locator to find them in your neck o’ the woods.
