Relentless. And Maybe a Little Nervous.

Jump in the time machine! Let’s travel back to last summer’s Spartan Challenge… enjoy the video!

Spartan 300 Challenge from CrossFit Central on Vimeo.

I just signed up for the Level 1 workout on Saturday. That means elite weight. That means 95-lb. deadlift and 95-lb. floor wipers.

We did our max deadlift at CrossFit Women this morning. Ninety-five pounds was our warmup, and it felt good. (My max was 180.) I must challenge myself on Saturday, and the alternative to the 95 lbs. was 65… which, a year after my first Spartan workout, is not challenging enough.

So I’m gonna (wo)man up.

I’ll be there for my check-in at 8:00 a.m. and tackle the workout at 8:40 a.m.

I have confidence that you can do the 95# floor wipes. Break them into small bite size pieces!

I’m so excited for all the “contenders” of the 300 Challenge this year. I’ll be able to come and watch the benchmark workouts this summer. Hooray.

On Crossfit Ft. Hood’s blog, there was a picture of a statement someone wrote on a white board:

“You can’t out work a shitty diet”

Damn, I thought. Even though I knew this ever since I started CrossFitting, and witnessed the transformation of person to more fit person by way of zoning – reading it today hit me harder than ever. It’s time to make some real changes, carla. Excuses are boring.

Best wishes this weekend – 95lbs…here you come.

Carla! I love that quote about shitty diets, too. But you know what’s even better?

    “Excuses are boring.”

    Amen to that, sister.
