Yesterday: Chump – Today: Champ

So… I never did do the Filthy Fifty yesterday. I kept meaning to, and I kept not feeling like it (which is usually a sign that I’m tired, but I HATE unplanned rest days). I spent the day working from home in my pajamas, then fell asleep around 4:00 like I was drugged: BAM! Hard nap for 90 minutes.

When I woke up, it was time to hit the HEB for strawberries, almonds, cabbage, squash, chicken breast, milk… pretty much all the things we need to keep the Zone meals comin’. Before I knew it, it was 8:00 and the workout window was firmly closed.

But this morning, we hit it hard in the backyard… and it was awesome.

Fight Gone (Sorta) Bad
3 rounds, 1 minute per station:

  • push press, 40 lbs.
  • wall ball, 10-lb. ball
  • box jumps, 18″ box
  • plank rows, 15-lb. dumbbells
  • rest

Then we went to the hike & bike trail for a nice-n-easy 3-mile loop. My time: 28:38.

When were done, I did some bonus work while Dave drank water:

  • 10 step-ups each leg, 22″ wall
  • 20 dips
  • 10 decline pushups
