First O’ The Month Assessment = Fight Gone Bad

Oh, beginning of the month. How I adore the way you hold me accountable and require me to think not about an endless spectrum of workouts stretched before me, but about what I can do today and this month and right freaking now to be stronger, faster, tougher, hotter, er, er, er!

When I did Fight Gone Bad last year, I registered for the intermediate level (35-lb. bar, step ups on the 20-inch box, 12-lb. med ball) and won my division with a score of 320. And I knew back then that some day, I’d have to start working on the elite weight for FGB2009.

Today was that day.

Fight Gone Bad Workout – Elite Weight
3 rounds, 1 minute each station:

  • rowing machine
  • box jump, 20-inch box
  • push press, 65-lb bar
  • wall ball, 14-lb. ball
  • sumo deadlift high pull, 65-lb. bar
  • rest

My score: 209

I’m pleased with that. I’ve got a lot of room for improvement, and this is my pledge to you: I will break 300 at FGB2009. Place your bets now, people.

Hugs to the one-and-only Stacey Doyle for being my counter and pep coach this morning.
