How Tough? "Tough Guy" Tough

Think we CrossFitters are tough? I just scrolled through some photos from the Tough Guy Challenge that made me anxious just looking at them!

The Tough Guy Challenge, billed as “the safest most dangerous taste of physical and mental endurance pain in the world,” was held on February 1 on South Perton Farm, near Wolverhampton, England.

The course takes racers through 21 obstacles, including mud, freezing water, ropes and burning terrain. I hope the CrossFit coaches don’t get any new ideas from these photos!

Thousands of male and female challengers started the endurance race, with hundreds dropping out along the way due to exhaustion or injury — broken bones, dislocations, and over 600 cases of hypothermia.

That is so nuts!!! I love it. One of the pics is now my work ‘puter’s BG image.

That would be fun to watch if you’re vacationing in England. Can you imagine…? Mud, mahem, and sweaty, swarthy contenstants…I shall stop now. 😉

Fire, mud, and barbed wire…Count me in! If one of these was ever held in Austin I would have to do it, even in the Mankini..
