First Official CF Endurance Workout

I’ve been stalking the CrossFit Endurance site for months, reading the WOD first thing in the morning to see what the cool kids are up to. This morning, I tried one of the workouts for the first time. It was challenging, but wicked fun — and I’m definitely feeling my quads today, thanks to this week’s tabata squats and frog jumps and broad jumps and lunges.

Workout 1: I AM CROSSFIT
active warmup

5 rounds for time:

  • 15 pushups
  • 10 broad jumps
  • 20 walking lunges

My time: 8:03

Workout 2: CrossFit Endurance
2 rounds, rest after each interval for the time it takes to run the interval:

  • 200m run
  • 400m run
  • 600m run

I matched my times on both rounds, which made me feel like next time, I could eke out another round.

My times:
200m = :50
400m = 1:56
600m = 3:07

I’ve got another hellacious day in the office today. WHEN IS FRIDAY GOING TO GET HERE?! I’m ready to get out of these grown-up clothes and into my Under Armour gear so I can play outside!

    Double WODs… good for you! You’re takin’ it to a new level. You will get faster in your long runs by doing intervals like the ones you posted.

    I’m really stoked to add the CF Endurance workouts to my schedule. After the Austin Half Marathon, I’m not doing a lot of long training runs for ZOOMA… just CF and CF Endurance. I’m making myself my own guinea pig.
