Play time! I’m Not The Only One…

This is a great blog post by Kristin Armstrong about re-discovering the fun of playing outside. This line really struck me: “…I can’t remember the last time I felt as free and as happy as I do this summer.”

I said something similar to Dave just a few weeks ago.

I’ve always hated summer and this year, I’m a little sad to realize it’s August and that it gets darker earlier than anyone of us might really want. Soon it will be time to trade strawberries and blueberries for apples… bare legs for tights… tank tops for — hmmph! we’ll still be wearing tank tops until October — but you get my gist.

Eat a popsicle. Get a little sweaty. Go play outside!

Great post! I am one who appreciates what it means and takes to just go outside and play. I would like to see this become part of the norm. for both the young and old alike!

    rock on!
