Yay, Estrogen!

Oooh, baby! I’m firing on all cylinders today.

Sorry if I freaked y’all out this week with my gloom-and-doom blog posts. I don’t want to be givin’ you TMI, but suffice it to say my girly hormones have been WHACK. Thank you so much to y’all that sent me supportive emails this week. Your kind words helped a lot.

And this morning — like magic — I woke up feeling like me again. The estrogen is surging back into my bloodstream, making me smarter and happier. Whew!

That positive feeling didn’t make it any easier to get out from the under the covers this morning. I woke up before my alarm and snuggled for a while — and when I got in my car, the thermometer said 31 degrees.

But it wasn’t long before Carey had me sweating…

5 rounds for time:

  • 15 overhead squats, 45-lb. barbell
  • 400m row

My time: 14:44. I came in second. Woot!

Now I’m off to a client meeting and tonight… I can hardly wait… I’m eating a delicious Zone dinner and watching as many episodes of NCIS as I want. In bed. Under the covers. With a smile on my face.

    I don’t know if it’s working on 2 different accounts and the CrossFit, but I can’t seem to get enough sleep.

    ugh–we need to have mandatory nap sessions at work.
