Sometimes I felt like this day would never arrive. After a few years of collecting recipe ideas, the summer of 2015 spent recipe testing, months of writing,...

Eleventy-million thank yous for your enthusiastic voting in the nomination phase of The 2012 Homies. You did a brilliant job of pushing me to the top of the nominations list; nicely done, friends! I’m delighted that both Nom Nom Paleo and I were nominated (and dominated) in our categories. TheKitchn.com is a very successful, mainstream site, so seeing paleo kick so much ass among the “regular” blogs warms my heart.
And now, because of your votes, I made the list of top six finalists in the Best Healthy Cooking Blog category. I’m strutting with pride and giggling with delight over here — but I’m also up against some really tough competition. Once again, I need to ask for your help in the form of a vote. (I’m going to have throw some kind of reader appreciation dinner party or something to repay all these favors!)
This is a brand new round of voting, so even if you voted for me in the nomination phase, I need you to activate your button-pushing superpowers again!
If you’re ready to cast your votes for me (and Nom Nom Paleo), here’s what you need to do:
- Login or register for an account
- Vote for me in the Best Healthy Cooking Blog category
- Vote for Nom Nom Paleo in the Best Food Photography On A Blog category
- Spread the word on Facebook and Twitter!
- Do it all before the voting deadline: Friday, March 9, at 3 p.m. EST.
(Note that you may have to login again after registering before placing your vote.)
Thank you! Let’s show “regular” foodies that being a paleo foodie is tasty-good fun!

I just saw that and voted for you as a finalist.
I made your pork carnitas last night. Bodybuilding husband had it as a cheat meal and we were both very happy! (Though he is sad that he will not be able to indulge in the porky leftovers during the week, since he’s back to chicken breasts…..I promised I’d make him a batch of your carnitas spice mix, wizzed up in the coffee grinder and he’s going to use it to season his blechy chicken breast all week, with a squeeze of lemon & lime, of course.)
You Rock!
If you brine the chicken breasts for 2 hours, then put the carnitas spice mix on them, they will taste pretty darned good. Go you need the brining recipe, or do you have Well Fed?
I have well fed! Of course!
Voted! May the best blog (yours) win!
Thank you! 🙂
Vote has been cast for The Clothes Make the Girl and Nom Nom Paleo. If I can’t make it to the celebratory dinner party, I still want the recipes. 🙂
Thanks for the vote and yes! I love that idea. We’ll have a virtual dinner party and all make the same recipes on the same day. WOOHOOO!
