Training
Triumph! Two workout days back-to-back. This is Big because I haven’t done that in weeks.
5X5 OH press
(Mildly lame ’cause I only had 20# dumbbells which were too light, but whatever. My shoulders felt it.)3 rounds, for time:
400m run
30 box jump 20″ box
30 wall ball, 10# ball
My time: 17:39
That WOD was RX’d as five (!!!) rounds with a 20 minute cut-off. Three was plenty, and I tried to keep moving-moving-moving to get the desired intensity effect. I was definitely feeling the 88% humidity. Every breath hurt. (Between us friends, I seriously considered walking during the last 200m, but I didn’t. The only reason I didn’t is that I knew I’d have to tell you if I did. Pride, man.)
Food
Great food day yesterday. In no particular order, I enjoyed sweet potatoes and eggs, smoked salmon, cucumbers, green pepper strips, black olives, jicama, coconut-almond green beans, ground lamb sautéed with fresh tomatoes and cumin, a few almonds, and frozen blueberries.
Sleep
8 hours. Solid. Woke up before the alarm and had time to read before my workout. Nice way to start the day.
