It’s been ages since I posted my favorite links each week, but this year, I’m bringing it back! Buckle up for some of the best stuff I read online recently.
I finally got to see Knives Out last night. It just opened here in Czechia, and it was everything I hoped it would be! So twisty and funny and atmospheric. For enthralling manor house stories on the page, you could go Gothic with moody houses and haunted heroines — classic tales with beautiful writing — 20th-century stories from between the wars — or modern settings with ties to the past.

Before you go — recipe recommendations: You could let the slow cooker do the work for this Mississippi Beef or the get a soft landing for the day from this Classic Paleo Beef Stew. Transform ground chicken into Tod Mun Chicken Cakes or Fried Chicken Meatballs. Maybe take a culinary trip to India with Rogan Josh or this super-easy South Indian Curry. Or get in a soup-er mood (sorry) with Italian Vegetable Soup (I cook it as described in the recipe, then brown ground pork with garlic, salt, and pepper, to add to the bowl of soup — along with fresh herbs — when it’s time to eat), Mulligatawny Stew, or Paleo Chicken & Dumplings.
