Our New Project: Strong Sense of Place
My new project is taking all of my attention right now, and I'd love for you to join me for new adventures! It's called Strong...

As I’ve explained before, I’m from a melting pot family — Italian mom and Lebanese dad. I’m pretty sure I could roll a stuffed grape leaf before I could tie my shoes! In this hands-on class, we’ll be making paleo versions of some of my favorite Middle Eastern dishes from Well Fed and Well Fed 2: Stuffed Grape Leaves (aka, dolmas) with cauliflower rice and lamb, Belly Dance Beet Salad, Scheherazade Omelet, and Baba Ghanoush.
Date: Wednesday, March 26
Time: 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Place: Whole Foods Culinary Center, 525 North Lamar, Austin
Cost: $70, includes the class and lots of food

Yummm! Looks good. I cant wait to try the Belly Dance Beets! I am looking forward to the Dolmas as well, but I usually just make the filling and eat it as is because I don’t really like the grape leaves.
I did my first big cook up from your books tonight (was previously using another book with a few of your recipes thrown in). I am in LOVE with the Sunshine Sauce!
I wanted to ask what brand of coconut flakes you buy, I can only find shredded coconut here in the stores near me.
Thanks
That’s funny that you don’t like the grape leaves!
Congrats on your cookup… YAY!
I buy coconut flakes in the bulk section of my grocery store. If you can’t find them locally, you can buy them online: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00016JGZI/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00016JGZI&linkCode=as2&tag=roltheboo-20

I really hope you come to the Midwest someday. I’d love a cooking class like this. I’m in mid-MO but would gladly drive to KC or STL for something like this. Keep on cooking!
Sitti would be so proud of you!
That’s a really nice thought!
I wish you were doing it here in Denver.
When the next cookbook comes out, I think we’re going to do a big tour!
Any plans to pop over to the UK?
I would love to! I’ll definitely keep you posted if we hop over the pond!
Wish I could be there!! Yes, please do a tour when your next cookbook comes out (yay for that!!) and please come to New Jersey!! 🙂
Thanks for the awesome work you do!!
