Let’s Talk Turkey, Part 3

Oh, dear friends! I’m running late with my recipes… forgive me! I’ll get them posted early this evening, but should you need an emergency duck or sweet potato fries recipe, here are some good stand-ins ’til I get my act together.

The roast duck and braised cabbage recipes I’m using are from Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I will type them up 100% as-published and post for you this evening. But if you can’t wait (there’s only one day ’til Thanksgiving!), Mark’s Daily Apple posted a roast duck recipe yesterday.

Tom Denham of Whole Life Eating, a Whole30 devotee, has a recipe for Sweet Potato Fries, as does another favorite site of mine, Simply Recipes. If you can wait ’til this evening, I’ll post my Sweet Potato Plan of Action®, which involves smushing together a bunch of recipes and winging it a little bit to make what I predict will be crispy, flavorful, spicy sweet potato fries. Exciting, right?!
